Clear the Air: A Surgical Smoke Safety and Awareness CE.

Objectives:

– Review the three types of hazards associated with surgical smoke plume

– Discuss measures to protect perioperative staff and patients from these hazards

– Outline steps to develop and implement a smoke free policy

– Identify strategies to gain administrative support for becoming a smoke free facility

*This CE course is intended for perioperative nurses and other health care professionals who want to gain knowledge related to surgical smoke plume. There is a small section on legislation however more catered to topics above.
